Bridges in Communities is a Lexington based agency that has been in existence for the last six years providing quality services to both the correctional population and community institutions. BIC's program which provides alternatives to secure detention encompasses a holistic approach to community corrections as the treatment philosophy embraces a systemic method of providing multiple levels of services and resources designed to reduce the rate of offending.
Served over 1000 offenders last year with a success rate over 90%, BIC is the authority in providing home incarceration services. BIC provides services to 80 of the 120 Kentucky counties serving both state and local government.
BIC offers several programs and services that are designed to met and exceed the many complex needs of adult and juvenile offenders. Such programs are proven and practically driven with the pathology and understanding of the criminal mind that guides and directs irrational thinking.
The mission of Bridges in Communities is to provide a healthy, drug-free, safe and secure environment within which we will provide treatment and education services that focus on changing addictive and criminal behaviors. We provide our participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a productive life-style prior to reintegration into their communities.
